Aug 01, 2020 · All works well but there is an issue when after I have set the offset and have manually done the bed leveling if the BLtouch does a probing (rehome, reboot) the head suddenly is a bit higher above the bed (like a quarter turn on the adjustments knobs). I have checked the cables, the BLTouch is the 3.1 version and I am on the 4.2.2 board. any ideas? The pins on the board for the BLtouch header don't match up to the firmware code, I have found a couple of lists of pinouts, but I haven't found the correct pin to use. I have it connected the same as in OPs picture, but when using Z_MIN_PROBE_PIN 26,27, or 32 I get nothing. (These should be PB0 (Servo0_Pin), PB1 (Z_Probe_Pin), and VDD1 (default).

May 02, 2020 · Bigtree Tech offers some precompiled firmware on their GitHub page, including firmware for the BL Touch. Unfortunately, for me this precompiled software didn't work - there seemed to be a bug at the time of writing. I'd recommend flashing their version first, though, because your mileage may vary. If it doesn't work, you can see my changes below.

However I received 2x cheap versions from aliexpress yesterday so I'm going to give one of those a try. I admit to feeling a little disappointed with the bltouch. It's a great idea but seems to be a bit fiddly to install and configure. And having multiple versions which clearly aren't 100% compatible with each other is somewhat concerning.
